Where were all these “judicial restraint” Republican Senators when the last guy nominated Roberts and Alito? Because basically undoing the last 50 years doesn’t seem so restrained.

“Judicial Restraint” involves seeing a lot of things in the constitution that weren’t there when it was written. Like laws against abortion (there were none in the Colonies.) Or “One nation under God” and that sort of stuff, while carefully avoiding “revisionist” concepts like Civil Rights.
