Update on the real estate deal
Okay, the guy’s back on his cellphone, pacing back and forth, trying to rescue the deal by blaming his wife.
Exact quote: “I’m sorry if my wife got it wrong.”
Classy.

Isn’t that what you’re supposed to do? I tend to blame the poor, immigrants and my wife… sometimes I mix it up and throw in racists, just to keep everyone guessing. And, of course, there’s overlap: some immigrants are poor; many racists are poor; sometimes immigrants are racist. My wife is the one constant with no overlap: she’s not an immigrant, she not poor (well, no poorer than I am) and she’s not a racist.
Basically, I believe in blaming the people who can’t defend themselves. Otherwise, we’d only have middle-aged Caucasians—like me—to blame and it can’t be our fault: we’re the victims in the country.

Oh, I can defend myself…
