Two days after the election, a question:

I’m still wondering how the Republicans are going to steal it. Thoughts?

I don’t know if the Republicans will be able to steal or delay Obama’s take over, but Bush can still screw things up to make it harder for Obama. I hope not.

  2. Dan Says:

Well, there’s the Status of Forces agreement Bush is trying to impose as his “legacy.” And the Right-wing talking heads are trying to de-legitimize the vote with fuzzy allegations of fraud, while vowing to continue a “guerilla underground war” against Obama…

  3. Rich Roesberg Says:

Maybe they could run more TV ads. The final one I viewed took a quote from Joe Biden and made it sound like he was warning that Obama’s election would lead to a nasty international incident, and suggested we could avoid that, presumably by not voting for Obama. How did they make the quote suggest that? They left off the final portion of it. With ‘clever’ tactics (or would that be stratagies?) like that, it’s a wonder they didn’t win.

Apparently Bush is trying to push through some items on his agenda by holding hostage some of what Obama wants – ie a new economic stimulus program. That guy is going to go out kickin’ – and do as much damage as he can while he’s leaving.

  5. Douglas Hackney Says:

It might be stolen, but probably not by the Republicans.

    See how here: http://hackneys.com/blog/2008/11/05/resistance-is-futile/

FUCK THEM, we won fair and square. Besides ‘Aunt Rachel’ (Maddow) is now on Lame Duck Watch against any infractions. Besides (again) Bush seems to intuit that this is his only chance to attract Bush Library Donations, by finally doing something right in his last few minutes of fame before Crawford obscurity. Of course this weekend’s festivities at the White House obviate his inanity.
