Today’s other political video

This makes for a better lesson than any episode of “Davey and Goliath.”

Why are Democrats who are actually running for election worse representatives of their viewpoints than, well, an animated dog?

One Response to “Today’s other political video”

  1. Joe Stafford Says:

Loved this video, not for the obvious reasons of ‘my side’ their side, or of the articulation of every detail in rebuttal that flesh and blood humans cannot seem to put words to or … in the alternative … have walked away from – in fear of ‘greater loss’. Imagine anyone being AFRAID of saying that the Health Care Reform Bill, though it has only just been passed, is not referring to it as something that will one day enhance care and deliver it justly to more people than other plans in the past…and that not one person receiving care now would have anything taken from them? And while we’re on the subject of fear, how come our little friend on the left of the screen ( a proud place to be standing ) is able to fearlessly and clearly say what needs to be said without rhetoric. For that matter, our friend on the ‘right’ says everything that is the current conservative wavelette without spin or gloss. The sterility of the environment makes it all easier to listen to as if new, whole and able to carry it’s own merit. Our little friends on both sides are amazingly fearless, making the totality of each ones argument more resonant.

I am sorely disappointed at how things have been going since mid-2009, my thought is that despite the current of this setback, that America is larger than all of this tempest (it is). That America is absorbent enough to reject groups of monied calculating people that have managed to prey on this discontent group of angry white anglo-saxon protestants (that would give Archie Bunker the shivers). It won’t be long before the ratcheting down of this mob is gone, I just wish they were in a much older age-group. That way I’d be in a position to outlive this downturn by more than 50 years. So I joined a gym, quit smoking (on 2/11/2007) and I’m changing my diet, to do just that…outlive these creeps. It’s the enjoyment of watching America absorb this wave that will be fun to watch (it can, and it will be).

Watch our little friend on the left, he looks at the screen at 2:16, as if to say, ‘are you hearing what I’m hearing?’…he only looks at the viewer one more time, at the end. In my State the only difference I will make is being one or two people voting for the Democrat for Congress, Gary Stein.
I cannot stand that LoBiondo ran on a ‘self limiting term’ in 1994, as part of the Gingrich revolution, and he’s still fucking there. Even his classmate, Joe Scarborough has found better things to do, and he went in on the same wave. Waves come and waves go, but to quote Paul Simon ‘what are you going to do about it?, that’s what I want to know’. So I’ll vote against LoBiondo, Stein won’t even crack 2000 votes in a county that carried President Obama. It’s all I can do, but I’ll do it.

This video needs to be fucking viral this weekend, I just sent it to 50 people. California has a great deal more change in it’s mix, since it’s referenDUMB driven, it’s simply the wild child. The thing that remains in play is that there is no such thing as defeat, or victory. This life is not a football game, there are no ties there is no overtime (not even if you throw in the concept of ‘sudden death’), and the victor today is likely to be found at the bottom of a ravine off Sunset Blvd. by sunrise tomorrow. There are many long careers though, and players un-believably do keep on going and going. (I hope Mick Jagger gets to sing ‘I Can’t Get No Satisfaction’ at his 121st birthday party, but Keith Richards will simply outlive him.) The President needs now exactly what Bill Clinton got himself in 1995, a new band, run again on hope and ignore any taunts of whether he’s going to be beaten in 2012 (by whom? – not even staunch Republican friends of mine think anyone’s out there). It would also help to have a brokered end to the Afghanistan mess and also it would be fun if Obama hijacks any Republican ideas and makes them his own. If he ignores the angry white mob, and their monied puppeteers there’s just the next wave of break-out politics. And on and on it goes.
