Poor reception

You will be unsurprised when I tell you that today I received in the mail an invoice from Sirius XM satellite radio for $60 for my subscription “renewal,” which I canceled in August.

I ripped it in half and threw it into the recycling.

I guess I can now look forward to my next conversation with them.

(I wonder how many people just pay the bill.)

I’m trying to get my mind around this.

You promote Dollar donations for yourself, and yet you quibble at being asked for $60 from a service you don’t use? Where’s your sense of proportion? Your moral perspective? Your rugged manly after-shave? Don’t you realize that $60 to Sirius is equivalent to $1 for you?

I think you should give to Sirius in the same spirit we gave to you.

You’ve missed the crucial difference: People who sent me a dollar are actually listening to me (via this blog, and Facebook), whereas I’m not listening to Sirius at all.

  3. Dan Says:

Lee, can’t you see it? Someone at Sirius is clearly in love with you.

Finally, a theory that makes sense!
