Line of the week

Yesterday while in San Diego I decided to get an ice cream cone at Ben & Jerry’s. While I was figuring out which overpriced and undertasty flavor to order, the college-going ice-cream scooper leans over to see the title of the book I’m reading.

“World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War,” he reads out loud. Then he turns to me and says, “Is that fiction?”

Of course it’s fiction. But is it fiction that really happened or the other kind?

  2. Lee Wochner Says:

“The other kind” being whatever the White House says.

  3. Joe Stafford Says:

…on ‘The Other Kind” of fiction, the Vice freakin President of the United States (talk about your Zombies) rang in today on the shortfall of patriotism on the part of anyone that would be so bold as to question the proceedings in Iraq. It seems that it’s gay marriage and it’s further debate here in the United States that is at fault for why our ‘boys’ are dying in Iraq. How’s that for fiction?
