Further proof…
…that:
a. Thanks to the internet, the written word lives forever
b. My opinions are long-lasting and strongly held. (Phew!)
Yesterday I was grousing to a friend about DC’s yearlong weekly comic, “52,” which purported to be of cosmic significance yet changed nothing.
Today I found this posting on the internet.

The notion of someone referring to something you wrote 20 years ago – someone who doesn’t know you or anything else about you – and you running across it (well, that’s not so far out, since he was writing about comics, a subject dear to your heart) is quite stimulating. Also a bit daunting. Surely we all have 20 year old bits of our history that could come back to bite us in the arse.
Speaking of which, didn’t DC comics have a character called The Arse Biter?

Hello, Mark. Actually, it was The Arse Bettor. He was an early Keith Giffen creation who wore a costume which was green (to symbolize money) and which left his buttocks exposed. His familiar battle cry, through all three of his appearances was, of course, “You bet your arse!”
