A little perspective
If you’re in your 30’s or up, you’ll enjoy watching this. (Or, actually, not.) The future isn’t coming fast — it’s already here. The culture you grew up in is already gone. (But no matter what happens, we’ll always have annoying Celtic music.)

The presentation was interesting, but I quesstion some of the facts presented. It’s not that I don’t beleive them it’s just that there are no refrences for the information presented. Saying “predictions are” and not attributing those predictions to a person , government agency, or institute of higher learning leads me to question the veracity of the statements. Also the presentation is not signed by any group, there is no “produced by” or “prepared by” listed. This also makes me wonder about the presentation.

And a big thanks to Paul, whose comments are precisely what I moved to this comment board to write. “Did you know…?” Nope, and I don’t now, either. As Paul Crist pointed out, none of the information is attributed to any source, let alone a source known to be reputable.
By the way, the reason that China is going to be the largest group of English speakers is that they are giving up on the Chinese languages. Really, it’s true. And they’re all learning to play Celtic music and dance like Riverdance. Then they’ll really be dangerous. And I’m six foot four. Really!

All my relevant independent reading (Harvard Business Journal, Economist, Atlantic, Wired, Wall Street Journal) provides a consensus backing up the main thrust of this argument.
