While on Thesaurus.com to find a better word (okay, I guess my secret is out), I came across this graphic for what I took to be Madonna’s cover version of the Pink Floyd classic from The Wall. A quick free download later, courtesy of this link, and I was listening to something in no way related to Pink Floyd and which I can only hope the prisoners in Guantanamo Bay never have to endure. Hellish treacly shrieking over cascades of synthesizer chirps in the back. It was so sickeningly sweet and done at such an insistent high pitch it was like a dental drill to my cerebellum.

If saving the Earth from global warming involves music like this, some of us might have to say, “Burn baby burn.”
