Weather update
It’s now 109 degrees in Burbank.
I’m betting my wife doesn’t think it’s so nice now.
And I’m betting that dry cleaners will be, ahem, cleaning up. (I know mine is.)

Hurricane Irene will be here tomorrow. I’m betting that we’ll all be cleaning up.

I do seem to recall how balmy it is in Burbank in August. I’ve been there that time of year, more often than not. Irene is only the second storm in my life that got me to evacuate now, Gloria in 1985 being the other. That said…I am now reminded as an adult to not get excited unless the winds are OVER 115mph, and a 90 degree lateral slam into Southern Empty and Dumb is a 100% certainty. These north bound storms that hug the coast never amount to much. Has anyone noticed that Gov. Christie is not a dogmatic hater, like Michelle, Rick, Magic Underpants, or slimey?
