Slow to catch on

ical-before.jpg

I just noticed that the iCal icon on my dock automatically updates to show the month and date. So today’s icon reads “Feb 4” because it’s February 4. (The one on the left reads “Jul 4” not because you’ve lost track of time. It’s because that’s the image I could find on the internet.)

It’s understandable why I never noticed this before. I’ve only been running this program since 2002.

I have also been using iCal for years and only realized that feature a couple of months ago. I choose to believe it’s because I have more important things on my mind when I log on to my computer than where to find the current date (although, since I’ve discovered it, I’ve begun to use it EVERY DAY!)

sometimes it pays dividends to do a complete manual change-out of dock icons…fyi

But look at me telling you. You’re the one that got me to buy a Mac in the first place.

    Yay!

It didn’t do that originally. It’s a feature that came with Version 3 installed with Mac OS X v10.5.

I’m feeling better about this now. It’s been only two years that I haven’t noticed.
